The 117-Storey Treehouse wins the KOALA Award for Older Readers
We are please to share that Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton have won the 2020 KOALA Award for Older Readers for The 117-Storey Treehouse.
The 117-Storey Treehouse includes a tiny-horse level, a pyjama-party room, an Underpants Museum, a photo-bombing booth. Also a waiting room, a Door of Doom, a circus, a giant-fighting-robot arena, a traffic school, a water-ski park filled with flesh-eating piranhas and a treehouse visitor centre with a 24-hour information desk, a penguin-powered flying treehouse tour bus and a gift shop.
The KOALA Awards are judges by young readers from all over New South Wales. Young readers vote each year for Australian children’s books that have most inspired, amused, terrified, enlightened and engaged them.
Congratulations to Andy, Jill and Terry from all of us!
Earlier this year The 117-Storey Treehouse also won the YABBA award.
